Senior Audit Associate

We are seeking a Senior Audit Associate in Lincolnshire, IL to join a collaborative public accounting team focused on professional growth and high-visibility client engagements. This full-time role provides hands-on experience leading audit and assurance engagements while working closely with managers and firm leadership. In this role, you will actively contribute to audit engagements for clients across industries including construction, manufacturing, technology, and mergers & acquisitions. You will manage engagement components, coordinate team efforts, and support high-quality deliverables, all while maintaining strong client relationships and demonstrating a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion in Lincolnshire .
• Collaborate with managers and leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality client service.
• Prepare and review financial statements, supporting schedules, and audit documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on technical and engagement-related matters.
• Apply analytical, organizational, and project management skills to complex client engagements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, demonstrating professionalism and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA eligible required; CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience , including at least one busy season at the senior associate or supervisor level.
• Experience in audit and assurance services, with preferred exposure to construction, manufacturing/distribution, technology, or M&A engagements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software applications.
• Commitment to client service, continuous learning, and timely, high-quality project completion.
