Healthcare Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Location: Champaign, Illinois 61822
• Healthcare Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center – PACU
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 13, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1870 - $1920 per week

PACU RN Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of PACU or relevant nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• NIHSS Certification

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings in EPIC EMR
• Recognize and report abnormal findings to physicians promptly
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care for PACU patients
• Establish IVs for patients over 8 years old and ensure safe medication administration
• Participate in surgical time-out procedures with the operating room team
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
• Promote patient and employee safety by identifying and correcting hazards
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Engage in ongoing professional development and fulfill departmental competencies
