Customer Service / Office Administrator

$20–$21/hour

West Chicago, Illinois, 60185

Mon–Fri, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm | 1-hour lunch

· Temp-to-Hire Position; Upon Permanent Hire: $22–$23/hour

· Background check and Drug test required

We are seeking a dedicated, self-motivated, and personable Customer Service Representative / Office Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service by answering calls, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues. This position requires someone comfortable working independently in a quiet office environment and collaborating with a small, supportive team. You will also be responsible for operating the ERP system and assisting with light administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person; • Resolve customer concerns or escalate them when necessary.

• Provide accurate information on products, services, and policies to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Processing customer orders promptly and efficiently.

• Working within an ERP system

• Maintain and update the customer database to ensure accurate records.

• Identify customer needs and offer appropriate solutions or services to support sales efforts.

• Perform general receptionist duties, including Answering incoming calls welcoming occasional guests, routing calls, and managing correspondence.

• Collaborate closely with sales, warehouse, tech, and other departments to ensure timely and effective customer support.

• Support the Sales Manager (no direct sales involved).

Qualifications:

· Experience: 1–3 years of order processing and customer service experience.

· Work Style: Since this role operates with minimal on-site supervision, we specifically need a self-starter who can work independently.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

· Experience with ERP systems is a plus.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills to handle customer interactions professionally.

· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
