As a Seasoner, you will play a critical role in the final stages of our snack production process. You will be responsible for the application of seasonings and flavors to our products, ensuring that each batch is infused with the perfect blend of taste that meets our quality standards. Your attention to detail and passion for flavor will contribute directly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our brands.This is a 1st shift position with a typical shift working Monday - Thursday 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. subject to change
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and apply seasonings to products as per specified standards.
- Monitor the seasoning equipment to ensure proper operation and quality control.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure that the products meet flavor specifications.
- Perform set up and make adjustments per standard operating procedure of equipment for startup, shut down or changeovers or when necessary.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues with seasoning processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the seasoning area.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes.
- Report any safety or quality issues to the supervisor immediately.
- Responsible for having a working knowledge of all SOPs associated with the Seasoner position
- Compliance required with safety procedures and programs
- Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the production areas and supporting equipment, food safety, and following Good Manufacturing Practices protocols
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Our Home management
Requirements
- 1-2 years related experience and training preferred
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and be a self-starter
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to learn and understand the Production process
- Basic math skills
- Exceptional, grammar, writing, and documentation skills required.
- Teamwork and communication skills required
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach, stand, bend, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell
- Occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
- Specific vision includes the following: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes/airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration
- All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, safety issues, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.
- All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF Food Safety Code.
