The Opportunity: SPED Teacher (LBS1)

We are hiring for both Full-Time and Flexible Substitute positions!

Location: Lombard, IL, and surrounding DuPage County communities.
Specialty: Special Education Teacher, Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
Schedule: Full-Time (M-F Days) and Flexible Substitute opportunities.
Start Date: ASAP - Join us this school year!

Your Impact & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging, data-driven Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) .
• Utilize ABA principles and de-escalation techniques for effective classroom management and behavior support.
• Collaborate with parents, general education staff, and specialists to enhance student learning.
• Provide direct support, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living ( ADLs ), as needed.
• Continuously monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies for optimal outcomes.

Essential Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist 1 (LBS1) endorsement is REQUIRED.
• Previous professional experience working with students on the autism spectrum .
• Strong comfort level with ABA principles, ADL support, and de-escalation strategies.
• Exceptional collaboration skills and a passion for working with children.
