Job Summary: As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the patient billing process. Your primary focus will be verifying insurance benefits, determining estimated patient responsibility for medical procedures, and supporting overall patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: + Review patient details and scheduled procedures, and identify any required medical implants + Verify insurance benefits by communicating with payers via phone or online platforms + Calculate estimated patient amount due based on insurance contracts and procedure specifics + Document all insurance and billing interactions accurately and in a timely manner + Maintain thorough records using provided templates and forms + Contact patients prior to scheduled procedures to discuss payment responsibilities and attempt pre-collection + Identify and obtain any necessary pre-authorizations or precertifications + Monitor daily activity to ensure all patients are verified for upcoming procedures + Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism, contributing to positive survey results and overall satisfaction + Escalate any billing discrepancies, challenging interactions, or unwillingness to pay to management Connect with our team today to learn more, discuss your short- and long-term goals and gain insight why people join and stay with this team!
