Tax Staff - Public

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Staff - Public team member to join our team in Des Plaines, Illinois. In this role, you will support individual and corporate tax processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all tax filings. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in tax preparation and proficiency in relevant software tools. Responsibilities: - Prepare and file individual and corporate tax returns in compliance with regulations. - Analyze financial data to ensure accurate reporting and tax calculations. - Conduct thorough reviews of tax documents to identify discrepancies. - Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather necessary information for tax preparation. - Stay updated on changes in tax laws and guidelines to ensure compliance. - Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx software to streamline tax preparation processes. - Assist in resolving tax-related issues and inquiries promptly. - Support audits and other financial reviews as required. - Manage deadlines effectively to ensure timely submission of all tax filings. Benefits: 401K with 3% profit sharing contribution Medical- 100% paid for employee- Blue cross plan Vacation and holiday pay Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation and related functions. - Proficiency in preparing individual and corporate tax returns. - Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations. - Experience using CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax software. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines. - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. - Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members.
