We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects from pre-construction through completion. You’ll work closely with our Project Executive and divide your time between the office and job sites, providing essential leadership, coordination, and decision-making. WHAT YOU'LL DO
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders
- Forecast labor, materials, and equipment needs
- Proactively adjust schedules to avoid delays
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities from pre-construction through completion
Budget & Financial Oversight
- Manage project budgets
- Track expenses and control costs
- Approve invoices and change orders with Synergy leadership
- Ensure financial accountability and profitability
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with site Superintendent; supervise subcontractors and construction crews
- Delegate tasks and monitor performance
- Resolve conflicts and maintain team morale
- Foster alignment on project goals and expectations
- Build trust with clients, vendors, and internal teams
Compliance, Safety & Quality Control
- Enforce building codes, permits, and legal regulations
- Maintain OSHA compliance and safety protocols
- Conduct site inspections and address hazards
- Monitor construction quality and standards
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Contracts, Documentation & Communication
- Draft and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Oversee permits, licenses, and inspections
- Provide regular updates and status reports
- Translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience
- 10+ years in building construction, including 7+ years in project management
- HUD/IHDA compliance experience strongly preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of residential and commercial construction
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and Sage/Master Builder
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or related field
- OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred
- PMP Certification a plus
