Platform Engineer, Workday - Techo-Functional (Finance)

We are seeking Workday Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Finance technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that’s leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One’s Finance Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.

General Responsibilities:

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
• Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating Finance value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
• Deliver solutions for Capital One's Global Finance organization using capabilities in Workday Financials modules including Core Financials, Expenses, Accounting Center and Prism.Deliver solutions in Workday platform across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
• Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with Finance partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results.
• Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday Technology & Platform updates, fixes and capabilities
• Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation & maintenance
• Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
• Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 2 years of Workday platform engineering experience
• At least 1 years of experience designing and developing integration solutions
• At least 1 years of experience configuring business processes within the Workday platform

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 3+ years of experience working with Workday platform across the Workday Finance modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers)
• 3+ years of experience with Workday functional configuration
• 2+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workday
• 2+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
• Workday Pro Certifications (Integration Developer, Financial Reporting)

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Cambridge, MA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Platform Engineer

Chicago, IL: $101,100 - $115,400 for Platform Engineer

McLean, VA: $111,200 - $126,900 for Platform Engineer

New York, NY: $121,300 - $138,400 for Platform Engineer

Plano, TX: $101,100 - $115,400 for Platform Engineer

Richmond, VA: $101,100 - $115,400 for Platform Engineer

San Francisco, CA: $121,300 - $138,400 for Platform Engineer

San Jose, CA: $121,300 - $138,400 for Platform Engineer

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
