Inventory Clerk (Office)
Medcor is looking to hire a part-time Inventory/Shipping and Receiving Clerk at our corporate office in McHenry, IL. The hours are Monday-Friday, 12:30pm-4:30pm with occasional flexibility for special projects as needed.
This position will maintain the Medcor IT department’s inventory and equipment. You will be responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory processing, and task/project assistance.
The compensation for this position is $20.00/hour
A typical day in the life of a Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
- Check the help desk ticketing system for tickets and assignments
- Package, ship, and track all IT shipments
- Unpack, check in, and distribute all daily incoming IT shipments
- Maintain and monitor inventory in Asset System
- Maintain inventory room organization, stock, and supplies
- Pull equipment for IT department members as requested
- Adhere to equipment shipment deadlines
- Test peripheral computer equipment upon return to ensure it is in working order.
- Shred hard drives, routers and other related equipment that may have data.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
You Must
- Have a High School diploma or GED
- You have one (1) or more years of administrative/office experience
- Have basic computer skills, along with knowledge of Windows programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Be very organized and able to reprioritize on a regular basis
- Be able to follow all verbal and written instructions and execute tasks without supervision
- Be able to navigate the internet
- Have strong customer service, quality and results orientation.
It’s a Plus If
- You have familiarity with identifying IT equipment (router, monitor, etc.)
- Experience with shipping and receiving in a similar work environment or courier delivery service.
