Position: Receptionist

Program: ADMINISTRATION (ADMN #100)

STATUS: Full-time Part-time Exempt Non-Exempt

Solutions For Care (SFC) serves over 12,000 older adults and those living with disabilities each year in Berwyn, Cicero, and Proviso Townships. We provide direct client service through information and assistance, in-home care, advocacy services and transitional assistance in hospitals. General Statement of Duties:

The receptionist will be friendly and professional. The receptionist will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer support and ensuring a welcoming environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in Spanish, are highly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

Bilingual: Must be able to read, write and speak in English/Spanish.

Previous receptionist experience preferred. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and willing/able to learn multiple agency required applications.

Change is a constant in this environment and the successful candidate will be able to adapt, reorganize, and implement needed changes to ensure that staff are serving clients in an effective and timely manner. Time management, self-awareness, and a desire for professional growth will be essential in this position

Educational Requirements:

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED.

Criminal background check is required .

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Greet clients and visitors courteously, ensuring they sign-in upon arrival.
  2. Handle incoming calls and visits, directing them to the appropriate personnel efficiently.
  3. Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail; ensure that outgoing mail is properly stamped and delivered to the mailbox at designated times.
  4. Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
  5. Handle client inquiries regarding services and provide information as needed.
  6. Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable at all times.
  7. Assist with administrative tasks as required, including photocopying, faxing and scanning.

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit and work at workstation for extended periods of time.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: starting at $18/hr; and based on experience. This position a Full-time Position.
