Cloud Security Analyst

Description

This role ensures that cloud-based solutions align with enterprise security requirements, industry standards, and regulatory expectations. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify risks, support remediation efforts, and maintain a strong cloud security posture.

Cloud Security Assessment & Governance

• Conduct security reviews of cloud applications, services, and infrastructure

• Evaluate solutions against enterprise security standards and control requirements

• Validate cloud configurations across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments

• Support governance activities aligned to security policies and compliance requirements

Risk Assessment & Control Validation

• Perform technical risk assessments and identify security gaps

• Support remediation activities and track closure of identified issues

• Monitor and report findings from cloud security reviews

• Provide support during audits, incidents, and regulatory reviews

• Partner with DevOps, architecture, and risk teams to integrate security into development workflows

Process & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and maintain documentation for security processes, controls, and procedures

• Support improvements to cloud security governance practices and operating models

• Contribute to reporting and tracking of security review outcomes

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - this is cloud governance so they must be familiar with all the cloud platforms (AWS and Azure are currently in their environment and they are looking at potentially adding GCP)

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to be able to execute well on documentation

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Chicago,IL.
