Patient Care Technician MedicalSurgical Unit Days

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidates expertise and years of experience among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position : Patient Care Technician - General Medical/Surgical Unit
• Location : Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd. Elmhurst IL 60126
• Part-Time : 24/hr per week
• Hours : 7am-7pm (two 12 hour shifts) with every 3rd weekend and holiday track
• Required Travel : no

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and according to established procedures performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six monthsof previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork ability to prioritize ability to receive and follow through on directions.
