Position Title:Inventory Specialist/Warehouse Attendant (3rdShift)

Department: Packaging Warehouse

Location: Beardstown, IL Pork Plant

Salary Class: Non-Exempt

Title of Supervisor: Packaging Manager

Purpose and Scope: Inventory Accuracy and Maintain Packaging Warehouse

Principle Responsibilities:

• Accurately count all packaging, ingredients & chemicals in warehouse & upstairs tray former
• Computer work/keypunch/data entry in SAP (issue, reverse, receive, etc.)
• Manage runbacks/partials from production (put packaging back into racks & reverse back into inventory)
• Cleaning and organizing work areas/warehouse
• Help with startup & end of night
• Direct production where to put returned packaging
• Load “junk” heat treat pallets from hallway onto trailer
• Communication with manager & coworkers
• Coverage for label cage, when needed
• Unload & put away freight, when needed
• Perform various other duties, as needed &/or assigned by manager

Working Conditions:

• Third shift—10 pm-6:30 am, Sunday-Thursday (with flexibility to change days &/or times to help cover vacations)
• Work a minimum of 40 hours per week; overtime as needed
• May be required to change shifts, days &/or hours for absentee coverage
• Warehouse; Cold in the Winter & Hot in the summer

Education:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Requirement:

• Ability to be licensed on & operate a fork truck
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to count

Experience:

• Previous inventory knowledge is beneficial
• Sit down fork truck experience is beneficial

Special Skills:

• Computer skills
• Customer service oriented
• SAP knowledge
• Bilingual is beneficial

Relationships:

• Internal—Regular communication within all levels of the plant
• External—Some communication with external agents, such as truck drivers

The Applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Base Salary: $16.87/hr- $22.77/hr
