Our comprehensive "learning by doing" experience will provide you with a realistic look at what it means to have an actuarial career at Gallagher through job shadowing, presentations, client project assignments, analysis, and more.
You'll be given exposure to all divisions and service lines with the opportunity to work in one primary area:
- Insurance under Gallagher Global Brokerage
- HR Services under Gallagher Benefit Services
- Risk management under Risk Placement Services
- Claims under Gallagher Bassett Services
- Reinsurance under Gallagher Re
- Understanding Actuarial Consulting - Shadowing our professionals to learn actuarial concepts on a project driven basis; Attending client meetings
- Professional Development - Attending our National Intern Orientation event, weekly training events and assisting with client projects; Meeting deadlines with quality and accurate deliverables
- Collaboration - Growing alongside peers in national and regional case competitions to invigorate your passion and curiosity for the insurance brokerage world.
- Building Professional Acumen - Learning about our businesses; Providing financial monitoring reports; Preparing contribution strategies for various product lines; Preparing financial exhibits, data, letters, presentations and other client deliverables
- Being a Team Player - Helping with various regional and/or branch projects, showing your passion to learn and be mentored by employees excited to help you navigate your future.

Requirements
- Rising sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028
- Availability to participate within program dates: June 8th, 2026 and ends: August 7th, 2026
- Preferred areas of study include, but are not limited to the following: Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics.
- Preferred: On the SOA Exam Track
- Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States. For U.S. employment opportunities, Gallagher hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, refugees, and temporary residents. Temporary residence does not include those with non-immigrant work authorization (F, J, H or L visas), such as students in practical training status. Exceptions to these requirements will be determined based on shortage of qualified candidates with a particular skill. We will require proof of work authorization

Compensation and benefitsWe offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
