About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Controller to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and a proactive mindset, looking to grow within a dynamic and evolving organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Coordinate and assist with external audits and tax filings
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and reconciliations
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Monitor internal controls and compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Manage job costing process, and work with Project Managers to review profitability of projects
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting and administrative staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar) and Excel
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Effective communication and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in manufacturing
• Exposure to ERP systems and process automation tools
• CPA is a plus
