Full-Time Therapist: Provisionally Licensed Clinician
Job Description
Job Description
Full-Time Therapist: Provisionally Licensed Clinician
Centered Therapy Chicago (CTC), is a woman-owned, relational group practice located in the Ravenswood/Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. We practice from a feminist, relational, strength-based framework and integrate mindfulness, movement, creative/expressive therapies, and body-oriented approaches into our clinical work.
We are currently seeking a full-tim e provisionally licensed clinician to join our team. As we continue to deepen our somatic and trauma-informed offerings, we strongly encourage applications from clinicians who are interested in Somatic Experiencing (SE), NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model), EMDR, IFS or other advanced body-oriented trauma modalities. We are especially looking for a clinician with previous clinical experience providing individual therapy to clients across the lifespan.
CTC was founded over 12 years ago by a NARM Master Therapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner who remains actively engaged in supervision, consultation, and leadership within these training communities. Clinicians interested in body-oriented training will find meaningful collegial support and alignment here.
This position is hybrid, with a balance of in-office and remote clinical work.
CTC values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages people of all genders, sexual identities, ability statuses, religions, immigration statuses, and racial and ethnic identities to apply. CTC is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants will not be discriminated against because of race, color, creed, sex, sexual identity, gender identity or expression, age, religion, national origin, citizenship status, disability, ancestry, marital status, veteran status, medical condition, or any protected category prohibited by local, state, or federal laws.
Who Thrives Here
The clinician who thrives at CTC:
- Works from a multicultural, feminist, relational framework
- Has experience working with people with lived experiences of trauma or complex trauma, attachment challenges, relational or relationship concerns, life transitions, eating‑related concerns, immigration or first‑generation experiences, grief and loss, and/or identity development.
- Demonstrates cultural humility and attunement to sociocultural context
- Values depth-oriented clinical work over short-term, solution-focused work
- Is committed to ongoing professional development
- Additional experience in couples therapy, child/adolescent work, family therapy, and/or HAES/Intuitive Eating-informed approaches is welcomed and complementary.
Our Structure
At CTC, sustainability is structural. We do not operate as a high-volume productivity model.
Full-time clinicians maintain a caseload of 22 sessions met per week (26-28 scheduled) , with protected time away from work and no on-call expectations. The practice closes for six major federal holidays to protect clinician schedules during high-cancellation periods.
New clinicians are gradually ramped to a full caseload, with approximately 15–20 clients assigned within the first 90 days to support sustainable growth. Dedicated administrative time is built into schedules during onboarding to prevent after-hours documentation burden.
We provide:
Clinical & Professional Support

- Ongoing administrative supervision to support documentation, compliance, and workflow integration
- Weekly didactic training during the academic training year (required during first year)
- Weekly group supervision during the academic training year (required during first year)
- Monthly connections all-staff meetings
- Monthly peer lead case consultation meetings
- Monthly professional development meetings focused on ethics, consultation, and professional development (CEs offered)
- Participation in our CTC Training Center with a focus on supporting training center events and building curriculum and/or presentation skills
Operational Support
- Full billing and credentialing support
- Intake coordination with attention to client assignments that are the right clinical fit
- Marketing and referral support
- Furnished office space and common areas for in-person collaboration
- 24/7 crisis consultation support
Compensation & Benefits
- W-2 employment status
- Compensation: Provisionally licensed clinicians are estimated to earn $65,000 - $75,000 annually based on meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Health insurance (CTC contributes 25% of individual premium)
- Retirement plan with 3% match after two years
- Paid leave and sick leave
- Liability insurance
- $400 annual technology stipend
- Private TalkRoute phone line
Requirements
- Completion of Master's and/or Doctoral Degree
- Expected to attain independent licensure (LCPC or LCSW) in Illinois within three years of employment at CTC

- Strong commitment to relational, multicultural, and trauma-informed practice
This is a full-time position. To meet criteria for full-time employment, employee must work a minimum of 30 hours a week and maintain a caseload of 22 sessions met per week.
