As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Screening in Elmhurst, IL , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.24 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access control points for people, vehicles, and deliveries by checking credentials, verifying authorizations, and maintaining visitor and/or driver entry records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through proper site communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, entry areas, trailer yards, docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic, documenting relevant activity, and communicating with site contacts regarding access-related issues and/or operational disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
