Overview

The Senior Salesforce Technical Lead reports to the Affinity Development Manager and will assume responsibility for designing and overseeing the implementation of scalable Salesforce solutions. You will be responsible for the administration as well as leading development within the system, ensure best practices in coding and architecture, and collaborating with stakeholders to align on technical solutions.

Ideally this role will be hybrid as the team is generally all together in our Rolling Meadows office every Tuesday. You can work in office or remote the other days.

How you'll make an impact

  • Lead the technical design and implementation of Salesforce solutions across Financial Services Cloud, Salesforce Industries, Broker Insurance and Revenue Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Digital Experience.
  • Develop and maintain custom code (Apex, Lightning Web Components), integrations, and automation (Flows, Process Builder).
  • Maintain the Salesforce data model, ensuring it supports business processes and scalability.
  • Administer the Salesforce platform, including user access, security, data integrity, and system configuration.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture to ensure alignment with corporate standards and long-term technology strategy.
  • Partner with Salesforce teams to ensure consistency, reuse of components, and adherence to best practices.
  • Support the Salesforce transformation program, contributing to planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage platform health, including monitoring, performance optimization, and release management.
  • Drive DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and environment management.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.
About You

  • A relevant technical BS Degree in Information Technology.
  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce development and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good understanding of unit testing, software change management, and software release management.
  • Knowledge of Dev-Ops processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code fundamentals.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Preferred:
  • Data engineering experience leveraging technologies such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, ADLS Gen 2, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Databricks, and SQL Server preferred.
  • Integration experience with Genesis and Worldpay technologies preferred.
  • Skills to read and write effective, modular, dynamic, parameterized, and robust code, along with the ability to establish and follow already established code standards and ETL frameworks.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Collaborative team player with a growth mindset
  • Excellent written and oral communications with ability to work effectively and provide feedback to senior level managers and vendors

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
