Assistant Controller

CSG Hospitality Management, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Controller to join our team in our River North office. This is a fully on-site position offering the opportunity to work closely with the Controller and gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of hospitality, consulting and rental real estate related entities.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in managing the day-to-day accounting and financial operations across these multiple entities, including food and beverage clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across varied business structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements and internal reports
• Work across multiple entities with varying accounting needs
• Assist with cash management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
• Collaborate with the Controller and owner on process improvements and special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (hospitality experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with QuickBooks Online required
• Familiarity with Toast POS (or similar restaurant systems) preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office , especially Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
