Truck Driver/Mover
Job Title: Driver (CDL A or B)
Hollander Moving, a reputable moving and storage company based in Elk Grove Village, IL, is seeking a skilled and experienced Driver with a CDL A or B license to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, excellent driving skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Drive company vehicles, including box trucks and tractor trailers, to transport goods to and from locations
- Follow directions and instructions from team leaders and supervisors
- Load and unload household goods and personal belongings onto and off trucks
- Pack and unpack items, ensuring they are properly secured and protected
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Handle delicate and fragile items with care
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including logs and trip reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CDL A or B license with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a commercial driver, preferably in the moving industry
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
