Flock at Park Park is a food truck park and bar in downtown Alton, IL. Our menu focuses on freshly and thoughtfully crafted foods! We are seeking a motivated and passionate Food Truck Cook to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious food, taking customer orders, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent cooking skills, cash handling abilities, and the capacity to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position is seasonal, part-time with day shift, night shift, and weekend schedules.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is required.

Food handler's certificate is a plus

Valid driver's license required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing menu recommendations as needed.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash records.
• Ensure the food truck is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain health and safety standards in work areas.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Work collaboratively with team members to maintain a positive work environment.
• Engage with customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food preparation or a customer service role preferred but not required.
• Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Capable of handling cash and performing basic math calculations.
• Strong time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Work environment: Open Air
