The Role

The Vice President of Operations (VP, Operations) is a senior executive responsible for scaling, optimizing, and future-proofing operations across Hopemark Health’s multi-clinic psychiatry platform.

This role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare operator who is both analytical and people-centric—someone who understands how to translate strategy into systems, data into decisions, and complexity into clarity. You will oversee clinic operations, technology, performance management, and operational readiness as Hopemark continues to grow across the Chicagoland market.

You will partner closely with the executive team, clinical leadership, and board stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, strong unit economics, and an exceptional patient and provider experience.

Core Responsibilities

Enterprise Operations Leadership

  • Own day-to-day and strategic operations across all clinics and service lines
  • Ensure operational consistency while allowing for clinic-level nuance
  • Translate executive strategy into scalable workflows, SOPs, and operating rhythms

Data, Analytics & Performance Management

  • Design and manage a KPI framework across operations, patient access, utilization, staffing, and financial performance
  • Build dashboards and reporting cadences that support real-time decision-making
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and lead data-driven improvement initiatives

Technology & Systems Optimization

  • Serve as executive owner of operational technology stack (EHR, intake, scheduling, CRM, billing, analytics tools)
  • Drive adoption, optimization, and integration across systems
  • Partner with clinical, finance, and marketing teams to ensure data integrity and system alignment

Financial & Revenue Cycle Oversight

  • Own operational budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls
  • Partner with finance and revenue cycle teams to improve throughput, collections, and margin performance
  • Ensure operational decisions align with long-term financial sustainability

Patient Experience & Access

  • Oversee patient access, intake, scheduling, and onboarding workflows
  • Improve conversion, time-to-care, and continuity of care metrics
  • Ensure a best-in-class patient experience without sacrificing operational efficiency

People Leadership & Organizational Design

  • Lead clinic managers, operations leaders, and administrative teams
  • Oversee HR operations and payroll in partnership with leadership
  • Build a high-accountability, high-trust culture that attracts and retains top talent

Compliance, Quality & Risk

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal quality metrics
  • Establish audit-ready processes and escalation protocols
  • Maintain high standards of patient safety, documentation, and operational governance

Growth, Acquisitions & New Clinics

  • Operationally lead new clinic launches, acquisitions, and integrations
  • Oversee hiring, training, technology setup, and go-live execution
  • Create repeatable playbooks for scalable growth

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business, or related field required
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) strongly preferred

Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership
  • Multi-site outpatient, behavioral health, or specialty care experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience scaling operations while maintaining quality and culture

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong command of healthcare KPIs, dashboards, and performance management
  • Experience with EHRs, practice management systems, intake platforms, and revenue cycle tools
  • Financial fluency in budgeting, forecasting, and operational unit economics

Leadership Style
