Overview
Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) in Mattoon, Illinois. Start date 04/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,381–$2,435. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 6:30 AM–5:00 PM. This travel assignment occurs in a hospital OR setting as a temporary placement.

Responsibilities
- Circulate in the operating room, delivering competent perioperative nursing care per standards of practice; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient-focused care and service.
- Prepare the OR, position and drape patients, and assist with instrument and supply setup; maintain sterile technique and accurate instrument counts; support efficient room turnover.
- Monitor patients intraoperatively, communicate changes to the anesthesia team, and assist with maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
- Document operative care accurately, verify required preoperative information, and ensure equipment functionality and availability for procedures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in ortho cases (total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, shoulder scopes/replacements) and apply knowledge across General, Neuro, Vascular, Gynecology, and Urology surgeries as needed.
- Adhere to policies and standards of care, while contributing to a collaborative, patient-centered OR environment.

Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license (Nursys verification required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (active)
- Minimum 3+ years of circulating OR experience (required)
- Proficient in ortho cases (total joints, hip fractures, arthroscopy, ORIFs, shoulder scopes/replacements) and general OR procedures (General, Neuro, Vascular, Gynecology, Urology)
- Permanent address must be outside a 50-mile radius of Mattoon, IL; local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
- Ability to work in a high-demand OR environment and contribute as part of a perioperative team
