Location: Burbank, IL
Schedule: 32.5 hours per week (8:15 AM - 3:15 PM)
Duration: ASAP through End of School Year
Compensation: $45-$50 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking four (4) Special Education Teachers to provide excellent instructional services to students in grades K-12. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher delivers individualized instruction, implements IEP goals, collaborates with general education staff, and maintains a supportive and structured learning environment.
Each classroom is supported by paraprofessionals, and caseloads are manageable to ensure meaningful instructional engagement and student progress.

High School Multi-Needs Classroom
Serves students with significant needs and requires increased staff support for engagement.

18-22 Transition Program Classroom
Focused on life skills, vocational readiness, and community-based transition planning.
Caseload & Classroom Structure

Caseload: Approximately 7-8 students

Classroom Support: Paraprofessionals assigned

Bell Schedule: 8:15 AM - 3:15 PM
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
-
Valid Illinois teaching certification (as required by district/state)

Minimum one year classroom teaching experience (preferred)

Preferred Illinois Certification Types:

Standard Elementary Teaching
-
Standard Secondary Teaching
-
Standard Special Teaching
-
LBS1 endorsement strongly preferred
-
Current CPR certification (if applicable)

TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required)

Current Health Certificate (as required)

Must meet all federal, state, and local compliance requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
