As a Security Officer - Full Time - Overnights in Sterling, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this caring, people-first environment, you will support staff, patients, and visitors with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while bringing a reliable, agile, and innovative approach to each shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general assistance, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts.
  • Support staff during routine operations and urgent situations by following post orders, maintaining a visible presence, and completing required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
