Job Summary
Infinity Fence Solutions is seeking a motivated and experienced Fence & Deck Sales Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will meet with homeowners and business owners at scheduled appointments, evaluate fencing and decking projects, provide accurate estimates, and guide customers through the sales process from consultation to signed contract. We provide qualified leads and fill your schedule, allowing you to focus on building relationships, creating solutions, and closing sales. The ideal candidate has experience in construction-related sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to confidently represent our company throughout Northern Illinois and the Chicagoland area.
Job Duties
- Meet with residential and commercial customers at scheduled estimate appointments
- Measure project areas and assess site conditions for fence and deck installations
- Develop accurate project estimates using company pricing systems
- Build trust and strong relationships with prospective clients
- Document customer information, measurements, and project details within company systems
- Capture site photos and gather required project information
- Coordinate project handoff information to operations and installation teams
- Represent Infinity Fence Solutions professionally in the field and within the community
- Attend evening and occasional Saturday appointments to accommodate homeowner schedules
- Assist in generating referrals and self-generated sales opportunities when available
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience, preferably in construction, home improvement, remodeling, fencing, decking, roofing, windows, or a related industry
- Strong ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with homeowners
- Experience creating estimates, proposals, or project bids preferred
- Comfortable working independently and managing a schedule of appointments
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Basic proficiency with tablets, smartphones, CRM systems, and email
- Ability to accurately take measurements and evaluate project requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable personal vehicle for daily travel throughout the service area
- Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional Saturdays (no Sundays)
- Self-motivated with a goal-oriented sales mindset
- Fence and deck industry experience strongly preferred but not required for the right sales professional
