Maintenance Supervisor – Blow Molding & Bottling Equipment | Team Leadership & Equipment Uptime (Lead day-to-day maintenance of injection, blow molding, and packaging equipment to ensure high uptime and production reliability.)

Location: Woodridge, IL Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Monday–Friday Pay: $100,000–$120,000/year + OT

Role Summary: Randstad USA is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor for a full-time, direct hire opportunity at a fast-paced plastics and packaging operation in Woodridge, IL. This position leads a team of maintenance technicians and oversees troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance across blow molding and bottling lines. Ideal for hands-on supervisors with strong leadership skills and technical expertise.

Qualifications & Skills: Minimum:

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Experience supervising industrial maintenance teams
• Hands-on troubleshooting of bottling and packaging lines
• Familiar with blow molding (Uniloy or Bekum), conveyors, case packers, palletizers, fillers, cappers, and labelers
• Proficiency in CMMS systems, Microsoft Word & Excel

Preferred:

• 7+ years in plastics, bottling, or food-grade packaging
• Proven success improving equipment changeover times and uptime
• Experience in facilities maintenance and special projects

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Stand/walk for long periods
• Comfortable working in hot, cold, or noisy environments

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians, managing daily workloads and training
  
  
• Monitor equipment uptime, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, and support smooth production operations
  
  
• Perform and assign repairs for blow molding, injection molding, and packaging equipment
  
  
• Lead changeovers, setups, and equipment rebuilds (gearboxes, motors, clutches, bearings, etc.)
  
  
• Ensure safety procedures, LOTO, and PPE compliance are enforced at all times
  
  
• Oversee and optimize preventive maintenance programs through CMMS
  
  
• Collaborate with production, QA, and engineering teams to drive process improvements
  
  
• Work with 480V AC and low voltage DC control systems for electrical troubleshooting
  
  
• Track time and attendance for maintenance team and report metrics
  
  
• Participate in special projects, audits, and facility maintenance initiatives
  
  
• Maintain documentation, PM records, and ensure regulatory compliance
