Operations Agent
- Enter and process Air Export shipment information accurately within KWE's systems.
- Generate required export documentation and ensure appropriate rates, charges, and export filing requirements are applied.
- Coordinate shipment pickups from customers/vendors to KWE's Wood Dale facility.
- Track and trace shipments with carriers from origin through final destination.
- Prepare, assemble, and distribute required Air Export documentation.
- Support freight inspections and ensure shipments meet applicable IATA flight standards.
- Create customer invoices and assist with troubleshooting billing discrepancies or issues.
- Accurately update shipment milestones to ensure proper processing by operations and warehouse teams and adherence to KPI requirements.
- Follow account-specific SOPs to maintain consistent and accurate service.
- Communicate shipment updates, issues, and exceptions internally and with customers.
- Manage a high volume of email communication and account activity while meeting required deadlines.
- Escalate account, shipment, or documentation issues appropriately.
- 3+ years of Air Export/Freight Forwarding experience (required)
- Experience with Air Export operations, including shipment processing, documentation, tracking, and carrier coordination
- Strong customer service, data entry, and high-volume email management skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Air Export documentation, shipment tracking, and customer invoicing/billing
- Familiarity with Dangerous Goods (DG), TSA, and IATA regulations
- Strong attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency
- This is an onsite full-time role with shifts scheduled within an 8am–5pm window and some flexibility based on business needs.
- $22-25/hr depending on experience
