The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for supporting the accounting department with day-to-day operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and general ledger maintenance. This individual will ensure accurate financial recordkeeping and provide administrative support to help streamline processes across the logistics business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the accounting system.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices, verifying billing details against shipment and logistics data.
• Assist with accounts receivable collections, including sending statements and following up on outstanding balances.
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems (digital and physical).
• Assist with payroll processing and expense report entries as needed.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding billing, payments, and account balances.
• Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or related industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
