Position OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and passionate Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains high standards of food quality and cleanliness, and is excited to learn and execute authentic Indonesian cuisine.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook menu items according to Rendang Republic recipes and standards
Execute prep tasks including chopping, marinating, portioning, and sauce preparation
Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
Ensure consistent plate presentation and portion control
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to kitchen management
Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
1+ year of line cook or relevant kitchen experience preferred
Experience with Southeast Asian cuisine is a plus (training provided)
Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen equipment
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment
