Our firm has been retained by an established financial services practice to find a dedicated and detail-oriented Paraplanner . This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys the "behind-the-scenes" work of financial planning—building robust plans using a proprietary Excel-based system and managing the critical workflows that follow client meetings.

This position is a perfect fit for an experienced Paraplanner or a Financial Advisor/Planner who wishes to step away from the client-facing sales cycle and transition into a role focused entirely on the technical and administrative side of wealth management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Plan Construction: Build comprehensive financial plans using proprietary Excel-based planning systems and complex client data.
• Meeting Follow-up: Manage the workflow of tasks and action items that follow client meetings to ensure seamless execution.
• Financial Strategy: Collaborate with Lead Advisors to prepare retirement income plans, investment summaries, and asset allocation analyses.
• Operational Support: Assist with onboarding new clients and inputting data into tax planning software and annuity quote engines.
• Data Integrity: Oversee one-off analysis requests and ensure the accuracy of all financial planning reports.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet one of the following profiles:

1. An experienced Paraplanner with 3–5 years of direct experience, OR
2. A Service Advisor or Financial Planner looking to move away from client-facing responsibilities to focus on technical and administrative excellence.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience within the financial services industry.
• Technical Skills: Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with numbers and spreadsheets.
• Detail Orientation: Highly accurate with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Logistics: This is a fully on-site position in Buffalo Grove, IL .
• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice-to-Have:

• CFP® or CPA designations.
• Active Series 65 or Series 66 licenses.
