Job Summary

Job Description

• Challenge existing methods and drive improvements to achieve higher throughput, improved quality, and better integration with current production methods
• Support engineering and science teams in researching and building innovative solutions
• Assist in the development, construction, deployment, and testing of mechanical and electrical systems for domestic and international laboratory, production, and agricultural environments
• Support startup activities and functional testing of working prototypes to validate system performance against requirements
• Collaborate with Safety teams to ensure compliance with company and industry safety and design standards

Skills Required

• 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Basic knowledge of constructing and testing electrical and mechanical systems
• Experience working in laboratory environments, including sample preparation, data collection, and data management
• Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with multiple supervisors
• Proficiency with standard office productivity tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Preferred / Plus Qualifications
  • Experience using a broad range of fabrication and assembly tools and equipment, including hand tools, power tools, soldering, cutting, welding, grinding, and drilling
  • Experience using electrical test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • PCB component-level soldering and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience programming and using single-board microcontrollers or computers
  • Experience programming with higher-level languages
  • Experience operating milling machines, drilling machines, and lathes

Education/Training/Certifications

• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Science

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check
• Shift Start Time: 08:000 AM
• Willingness to work on-site full time
• Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $17.68 to $25.68 per hour based on qualifications.
