Intake Coordinator
Job Type: Full-Time (5 days per week)with some flexibility in hours. The regular weekday schedule is preferably 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM . The position will also include Saturdays from 8:30 AM–3:00 PM , with one weekday off to maintain a five-day workweek. Primary responsibilities include:
- Point of contact for referrals (families interested in services); responsible for guiding families through referral process.
- Point of contact for intakes (clients ready to begin services); responsible for guiding families through intake steps -- necessary forms, insurance, and coordination with scheduling
- Responsibility for maintenance of waitlist.
- Point of contact for scheduling of therapy clients.
- Shares front desk duties with 1-2 other support staff; rotational basis.
- May be responsible for some weekly reporting.
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working in an office setting, preferably in a medical environment.
- Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively despite interruptions and distractions.
- Ability to function and work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Effective listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid Illinois driver’s license with safe driving record.
- Current proof of automobile insurance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office setting. Employee will have prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Requirements
