Accounts Payable

JOB DESCRIPTION

A leading Event Production company and Sales & Installation company with a national footprint is looking for qualified accounting professionals for its fast-paced expanding accounting department in its Chicago headquarters. The Accounts Payable Specialist assists with invoicing and billing.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Analyzing workflow processes
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience handling Account Payables and Receivables
• Experience with QuickBooks preferably QuickBooks Enterprise

• Self-starter that can thrive in both a corporate and start-up type environment
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills

COMPENSATION
