Job Summary

Vista Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role is responsible for the operational, clinical, and administrative leadership of the ICU, ensuring exceptional patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

1. Leadership & Management – Oversee day-to-day operations of the ICU, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.

2. Clinical Oversight – Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality patient care that meets or exceeds evidence-based standards.

3. Staff Development – Recruit, mentor, coach, and evaluate nursing staff; facilitate ongoing education and competency training.

4. Regulatory Compliance – Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations.

5. Budget & Resource Management – Collaborate with leadership to manage departmental budget, control costs, and optimize resources.

6. Quality Improvement – Lead and participate in initiatives to improve patient outcomes, efficiency, and staff satisfaction.

7. Collaboration – Partner with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital leadership to ensure optimal patient flow and care coordination.

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.

• Licensure: Current Illinois RN license in good standing.

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience and 2 years in a leadership/management role.

• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
