Food Runner/ Support
La Josie, a family-owned Bib Gourmand Mexican restaurant on Randolph Row, has been serving family recipes and supporting the best agave distillers from all regions of Mexico since May of 2017. In just a few short years, La Josie has become a beloved destination to eat, drink, and socialize in the West Loop. Most importantly, however, La Josie is a family of hard-working, middle class restaurant veterans passionate about treating their guests like family and this establishment like home.
We are seeking to add food runner/support Person to our team. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, hands-on professional with previous experience in the restaurant industry. You should be able to comfortably support servers and bartenders and should actively strive to improve the details. You must be able to work well independently, work well with our team, and above all, be passionate about facilitating unforgettable guest experiences.
Requirements
- Growth oriented
- Experience in a fine dining establishment

- Polished, professional image
- Bilingual, Spanish-preferred
- AM & PM Availalability on weekends including Sundays
Essential duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and a clean, professional image
- Participate in deep cleaning tasks
- Pack to go orders in an organized manner
- Attention to detail
- Complete opening, sidework & closing procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Servsafe certifications Food handler
- Ability to handle stress under pressure
- Willingness to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with Toast is preferred
Physical demands and work enviorment
- Ability to be flexible and open-minded about job demands
- Ability to move or handle equipment 50 lbs or more
- Ability to work varied schedules, as business dictates
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours
