Location: 7501 W Cermak Rd # Vc2, North Riverside, IL 60546
Schedule: Tuesday through Sunday (Monday off, plus one additional rotating day off)

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and reliable Taqueria Attendant to join our team. This position plays a key role in providing excellent customer service, preparing food, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced, high-volume food service environment . The ideal candidate must be able to multitask, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude while delivering quality service to customers.

Key Responsibilities Customer Service

• Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately.
• Answer questions about menu items and provide recommendations.
• Handle customer requests and concerns in a professional manner.
• Ensure customers receive their orders promptly and accurately.
• Provide outstanding service that promotes a positive dining experience.

Food Preparation

• Assist with food preparation, including assembling tacos, burritos, and other menu items.
• Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed throughout the shift.

Cleaning & Organization

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and food preparation stations.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Remove trash and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Keep work areas stocked and ready for service at all times.

Teamwork & Support

• Work closely with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist team members during busy periods and peak hours.
• Help fulfill orders and support food delivery when needed.
• Participate in training and onboarding of new employees when assigned.

Cash Handling

• Operate the cash register accurately.
• Process cash, credit card, and electronic payments.
• Follow all company cash handling procedures and policies.
• Balance transactions and provide accurate change to customers.

Health & Safety

• Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and local health department requirements.
• Observe safety procedures to protect customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, restaurant, or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment .
• Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
• Must be fluent in Spanish.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
