Do you enjoy responsibility and working in a law office?

We are seeking an EXPERIENCED paralegal or senior paralegal who has worked independently, as well as assisting trial counsel in the preparation and trial of personal injury cases, including medical malpractice. This position includes participating from the inception of the case, pleadings, discovery, depositions, interrogatories, and document production, contact with all types of expert witnesses, all types of motions, and finally preparation for and attendance at the trial to assist the trial lawyer during the actual trial in the courtroom. Trial preparation would include handling all aspects of document preparation and management, deposition abstracts, motions in limine, witness scheduling, exhibit preparation and jury instructions.

Together with the actual experience mentioned above, this candidate must:

• Possess a strong work ethic with a high level of confidence, including the ability to communicate with all individuals from all walks of life.
• Ability to read, write and communicate fluent English; ability to compose documents in the appropriate business style using correct grammar and spelling; ability to communicate clearly using proper grammar and diction over the telephone.
• Be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills with the ability work independently.
• Be able to prioritize your workload.
• Possess strong computer skills.
• Be willing to be mentored in the philosophy of the firm.
• Ability to work overtime as needed, particularly during an actual trial.

· Complete familiarity of all E-filing systems, both state and federal.
