📍 Plainfield, IL (Onsite | 1 WFH day after onboarding)

💰 $110,000–$130,000 + Up to 10% Bonus

Our commercial construction company in Plainfield, IL is seeking a hands-on, motivated Accounting Manager to take ownership of daily financial operations, job costing, payroll, and billing across both project and service divisions. This is a key onsite role with the flexibility for one remote day per week after you’re established.

What You’ll Do

• Manage full Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable (AR/AP)


• Process digital payroll for two entities (under 50 employees total) and coordinate final submission with payroll provider


• Handle certified payroll and union payment requirements


• Manage tax exemption and use tax items


• Lead quarterly and year-end close outs


• Oversee licensing requirements and renewals


• Complete all project and service billing


• Support operations with ~2 active production jobs at a time


• Manage billing for revenue ranges: Projects size range from $200K–$5M

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience with leadership (construction industry preferred)


• Experience with (or ability to quickly learn): Foundation software, Dataforma, Terra


• Strong understanding of construction accounting workflows (AR/AP, job costing, certified payroll, project accounting)


• Ability to step into a fast-paced role and take initiative quickly
