Job Description
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will:
- Function as an assistant to the nurses on the surgery department.
- Be responsible for the care of patients assigned by the nursing staff.
- Be required to be able to lift patients using appropriate body mechanics.
- Collect data about patients, and to utilize the computer to document appropriate care completed.
- Function as a team member offering suggestions for improvements and listening to requests.
- Work with others to determine priorities for patient care. (Is polite, positive and flexible.)
Access to protected health information is limited to the minimum necessary to perform the duties of the job.
Qualifications
- Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant course
- Certification as a certified nursing assistant by the State of Illinois
- Current BLS certification required.
