Summary

Job Summary and Mission

The job of a retail sales associate is to sell flooring products and services to customers in the store, service customer accounts, and assure a desired level of profitability on each sale. The sales associate plays an important role in the productivity and profitability of the store. The sales associate reports directly to the sales manager and works with other sales associates to grow sales for the store.

Duties

Requirements

Qualifications
The skills and abilities we're seeking include:


Education

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required.

Mathematical Skills

• Understand and effectively communicate numerical data. Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

Computer Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications as well as the ability to learn new programs.

Behavioral Skills

• Demonstrate proficiency in planning, organization, and communication skills.
• Manage emotions in order to maintain relationships and generate results.
• Work effectively in teams while motivating employees.
• Display a high level of energy and a positive attitude.
