Data Scientist Precision Medicine/Pharmaceutical Research
Job description
About Prenosis
Prenosis Inc. is an artificial intelligence company pioneering precision medicine in acute care. Our proprietary NOSIS™ dataset is one of the largest and fastest-growing hybrid biomarker-clinical datasets in infection. Our Immunix™ precision medicine platform drives the development of precision products and enables real-time delivery of optimal therapy. We've created and validated the first FDA-authorized AI biomarker for sepsis, the Sepsis ImmunoScore™. Prenosis is headquartered in Chicago Illinois and generally operates on Central Time Zone.
Join us in revolutionizing acute care through precision medicine. As a Data Scientist at Prenosis, you'll build AI-powered solutions that help clinicians match the right treatment to the right patient at the right time—when every minute counts. Your machine learning models will analyze complex biological and clinical signals to stratify patients, predict outcomes, and guide therapeutic decisions in emergency departments and ICUs. Working with our proprietary NOSIS™ dataset—one of the largest hybrid biomarker-clinical datasets in acute care—you'll transform cutting-edge research into FDA-authorized diagnostics that directly improve patient outcomes and healthcare efficiency. This is an opportunity to see your work move from discovery to regulatory approval to real-world clinical impact, all while pioneering the future of personalized acute care medicine.
Responsibilities
Develop and deploy machine learning models and predictive algorithms to extract actionable insights from complex patient clinical data for personalized medicine applications
Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end data science pipelines leveraging Prenosis's proprietary datasets with diverse clinical, molecular, and real-world evidence features
Conduct exploratory data analysis and feature engineering initiatives to identify novel biomarkers and patient stratification strategies
Translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives and visualizations for diverse stakeholders including clinical teams, regulatory bodies, and commercial partners
Validate model performance and ensure reproducibility in accordance with regulatory standards and good machine learning practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (clinical operations, medical affairs, product development) to define analytical strategies that address critical business and clinical questions
Contribute to the technical development of regulatory submissions, grant applications, peer-reviewed publications, and intellectual property filings
Expected frequency and duration of travel: Approximately 5% time including biannual 3-4 day all-hands meetings
