BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, a therapist-owned practice, is seeking a dedicated school social worker to join our team in supporting a local school district near Olympia Fields, IL. Join BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C. as a School Social Worker and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families. In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with educators and parents to support students' emotional and social well-being. Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions.
- Facilitate crisis intervention and conflict resolution among students.
- Engage with families to provide resources and support for home and school connections.
- Organize and lead workshops on social skills, bullying prevention, and mental health awareness.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to a supportive school environment.
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current Illinois State License in Social Work (LCSW or LSW).
- A valid license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, endorsed as a School Social Worker.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to student advocacy.
- Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and mental health support.
