Schedule/Hours:

• Multiple shift options: 0700-1900, 1100-2300, 1500-0300, 1900-0700
• Flexible scheduling (including weekends/holidays based on departmental needs; no on-call)
• Four-week schedules, published two weeks in advance

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience (community or acute care)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA); NIH required; TNCC preferred
• Proficient in EPIC EMR documentation
• Demonstrated critical thinking, rapid assessment, and prioritization in urgent care settings
• Strong IV, rhythm interpretation, ventilator management, and emergency medication management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly, uphold patient safety standards, and function independently

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional care to a diverse ED patient population (neonates to geriatric; 10-12% pediatrics)
• Safely manage 1:4-5 patient ratios, emphasizing high-acuity decision-making
• Rapidly assess, triage, and treat presenting emergencies
• Collaborate with ED techs, RTs, physicians, mobility aides, and other staff for optimized care
• Adhere to stringent documentation and safety protocols
• Support departmental needs by demonstrating flexibility and professional dependability
