The Regional Territory Manager at Tangent drives revenue growth by building strong partnerships and developing new business opportunities within their assigned territory (Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky) . This role focuses on outside sales activities, CRM management, and collaboration across internal and external teams to deliver an exceptional customer experience. TSMs are expected to leverage their knowledge of Tangent’s products and value proposition to align, mature, and grow both legacy and new partnerships within the Outdoor Living segment and other targeted end-market customer segments.
Requirements:Role and Responsibilities
- Exhibit strong proficiency in customer engagement, maintaining a positive attitude while actively listening and communicating to build rapport and long-term relationships
- Develop and execute strategic plan for assigned territory, review quarterly with leadership
- Drive and achieve commercial objectives within assigned geographical territory
- Engage with existing and new clients through strategic account planning process; demonstrate proficiency in all phases of the sales cycle, from lead and pipeline management to closing and retention
- Build and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline that clearly demonstrates a path to meeting objectives
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, new products, and market conditions to strengthen Tangent’s overall value proposition to customers
- Develop and deliver professional presentations of company products and services to current and prospective clients, driving customer engagement, brand equity, and revenue growth
- Troubleshoot customer issues and coordinate with internal teams to resolve challenges using effective, win-win solutions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with key internal and external stakeholders to improve alignment of priorities and objectives
Required skills/abilities
- Professional sales experience with active application and management of sales processes and tools
- Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and coordinate activities to achieve goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Ability to deliver presentations to customer groups using PowerPoint and other visual aids and handouts
- Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 70% of the time
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-5+ years of related professional experience, preferably outside sales experience B2B, B2C
- Direct Plastic and/or Building Products Industry sales experience preferred.
Physical requirements
- Ability to spend time traveling between customer meetings – drive time and time on your feet prolonged
- Overnight travel greater than 50% of your time
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
