Registered Nurse - Youth Correctional Center - Chicago, IL
Job Title: RN – Evening Shift (Youth Center)
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Position: 13-week Contract (Local or Travel)
Shift/Schedule: Evenings (8-hour shifts), 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, every other weekend required
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start/End Date: 4/20
Department: Illinois Youth Center
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum of one year nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a correctional or youth center setting
- Strong clinical and communication skills
Certifications:
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to youth in a secure facility
- Assess patient conditions and monitor for changes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare and facility staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure a safe and structured environment for patients
