Our client is - seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineers to join our team, focusing on industrial diamond-based abrasive products and machinery. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between complex technical solutions and customer needs, leveraging their expertise to drive sales, provide exceptional technical support, and build lasting client relationships. Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Presentations : Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective and existing clients, clearly articulating how our solutions can improve their processes, lower costs, or increase productivity.
Customer Needs Assessment : Consult with customers, sales teams, and engineers to assess specific equipment and system requirements, and recommend improved materials or machinery tailored to their needs.
Solution Development & Troubleshooting : Plan and modify product configurations to meet specific customer demands and provide expert post-sale support and troubleshooting for any product-related issues with installed equipment.
Business Development : Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, managing the entire sales cycle from initial engagement to securing and renewing orders.
Relationship Management : Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (both technical and procurement) at customer sites and within the distribution network.
Market Intelligence : Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and gather customer feedback to inform product development and marketing teams on alignment of sales strategies.
Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, forecasts, and market feedback using CRM software and other sales tracking tools.
Travel : Travel frequently (up to 50-75% of the time, as required) to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events.
Qualifications and Skills
Education : A bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related technical field) is highly preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales or a similar technical sales role, preferably within the abrasives or industrial machinery industry.
Technical Knowledge : Strong technical knowledge of abrasive applications (e.g., grinding, honing, lapping and polishing processes), and relevant machinery.
Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify customer pain points and propose innovative solutions.
Software Proficiency : Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Attributes : A self-motivated, customer-focused, and results-driven individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
