SSW
We are looking for a talented School Social Worker for the school year.
- Duration: January - May
- PEL with School Social Worker Endorsement
- Approximately 15 students with IEPs and maybe a couple more with 504 plans, no self-contained
Hourly Rate Range: $48.00-$57.00 per hour
Responsibilities would include:
- Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students in individual and group settings.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop intervention plans.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans to support student success.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to address behavioral, emotional, and academic concerns.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for students experiencing trauma or significant life challenges.
- Connect students and families with community resources and social services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and behavioral intervention planning.
- Educate and support teachers and staff on mental health awareness and classroom behavior management strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker Endorsement (issued by the Illinois State Board of Education – ISBE).
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred but not required.
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
