Commercial Litigation Attorney for Chicago Law Firm
Chicago-based firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. This role offers hands-on litigation experience, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on sophisticated business disputes across a range of industries.

- Manage all phases of commercial litigation matters, from pre-suit through trial and appeal
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Take and defend depositions; participate in hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Collaborate with partners and clients to achieve efficient, results-driven outcomes
- Handle a diverse caseload including breach of contract, business torts, partnership disputes, and related matters
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Illinois bar admission
- 3–7+ years of experience in commercial litigation
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience managing cases independently and interfacing with clients
- Deposition and court experience preferred
- Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
